This panel was found in Fairfax - 1967 original to the residence. 60 Amp Service. I was contacted by the owner for the installation of a Tesla Wall Connector. Unfortunately, there was no space or spare ampacity for the Wall Connector, as the Wall Connector requires 60 Amps all by itself.
The solution was to upgrade the service to 200 Amps and run a 100-Amp Sub-Panel to the garage on the other side of the house. This provided a convenient connecting point for the Tesla Wall Connector, 3 additional circuits, as well as providing plenty of room for future expansion.
I was called by an owner on Super Bowl Sunday in response to the original 1985 Electrical Panel catching fire. The owner was home at the time was able to disconnect power before the fire spread.
I replaced the panel with a 200 amp Square D QO Series Panel.
